อนึ่ง ศูนย์พระพุทธศาสนาเป็นแหล่งรวมจิตใจที่สำคัญของชาวพุทธในยูกันดา รวมทั้งชาวไทย เนื่องจากเป็นวัดพุทธพระศาสนาเพียงแห่งเดียวในยูกันดา

          On 6 December 2018, the Royal Thai Embassy in Nairobi delivered project funding to the Uganda Buddhist Centre for the “Youth Empowerment Project”. The project will be carried out throughout 2019 with the aims to develop necessary skills and generate income for people in the community, focusing primarily on carpentry skills.

After that, the Tam Mai Band led by Mr. Anant Narkkong, a Thai music scholar, also joined in demonstrating Thai traditional and folk music to interested audience at the Centre’s ground.

As the only Buddhist temple in Uganda, the Uganda Buddhist Centre is an important religious site for Buddhist people residing in the country, including Thai people.
